This application is developed specifically for Malaysians to submit emergency requests related to Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM).

The SaveME 999 POLIS application leverages internet broadband to send text messages and utilizes the Global Positioning System (GPS) on smartphones to pinpoint the user’s location.

To activate the application, users simply need to tap the ‘SaveME 999 POLIS’ icon on their smartphone. Once activated, the GPS coordinates and sender’s information including name, phone number, type of emergency, and registered address are automatically transmitted to MERS 999 Response Center (MERS 999 RC).

Users can provide additional incident details and location specifics in the message, aiding PDRM in delivering fast and precise assistance.

Moreover, the application offers a ‘Preset Location’ feature allowing users to save addresses of frequently visited places such as home, office, parent’s house, or other significant locations. In case of an emergency at one of these preset locations, users can promptly select the address from the preset list and send the emergency request.
